16th Century Signet Design

I'm a bit obsessed with late-Elizabethan and early-Jacobean woodcuts and engravings at the moment, so began designing my own signet complete with Latin motto.
Halfway through I realised it was a pointless exercise because, not only do I not have kids, I'm also the last of my line. So, I started again and created a new motto better suited to me being the last member of the family, the one who turns out the light when they leave.

The winged/hand is based on a detail from an image in Geoffrey Whitney's 1586 book A Choice of Emblemes.
