Shakespeare Painting Exercise

I've been reading a lot about William Shakespeare and late-1500s, early-1600s culture recently. As a casual painting exercise, so thought I'd attempt to 'flesh out' the famous portrait of Shakespeare which was created for the frontispiece of his First Folio collection of plays. Just noodling/doodling, really.

I used the identical proportions (bar the wonky shoulder) from Martin Droeshout's original engraving from 1623.
